Aspen LiDA now includes searching filters for better narrowing of search results

Aspen is pleased to announce brand new search filters with the 22.11 release of the LiDA library app!

Filters in Aspen Discovery are highly configurable, with libraries having the ability to customize the display for their patrons from more than 40 different filter options. Libraries can also choose the order filters appear in, the order of results within the filters, and whether filters can be single or multi-select. LiDA filters automatically respect all of the Aspen Discovery configuration settings without any additional work for Aspen Administrators.

Special attention was paid to filter design with our team working through several iterations as well as usability testing to ensure the look and functionality is easily understood by library patrons. Several different user flows are supported depending on whether the patron wants to limit their results by one filter at a time or apply several filters all at once.

All libraries using Aspen Discovery have the option to offer LiDA to their patrons either through the shared LiDA app or a library-branded version of LiDA.
