Monday Minutes: New Notices in Koha

In this week's Monday Minutes, Kelly and Jessie show two new notices coming to Koha in 22.11!

Account Summary

The first notice is called the Account Summary notice, which can be printed from the patron's account. This account summary notice will allow libraries to easily print the patron's fines. By default, Koha has provided a template for this notice, however, any notice can be edited and customized for your library.

In the Tools module, under Notices and Slips, this notice is called ACCOUNT_SUMMARY.

Emailing a Point of Sale Receipt

The second new notice that has been added to Koha is the ability to email a receipt to a person that has purchased an item through the Point of Sale module. A printed receipt was always an option for libraries, but now Koha has provided the ability to choose to print or email this receipt. When a staff member has chosen 'email' as the option, they are provided with a box to enter the email address to send the receipt to.

Once the payment has been processed in the Point of Sale Module, staff will be given the option to either print or email the receipt. This option will only display if the library has the system preference, FinePaymentAutoPopup, set to Don't. If this is set to DO, the option of the email will not display.

In the Tools module, under Notices and Slips, this notice is called RECEIPT.
