Koha 22.05: Consolidating OPAC Customizations in News/HTML customizations
Continuing the trend over recent releases, Koha has consolidated more of the tools to customize the OPAC into Tools > HTML customizations. Koha version 21.11 introduced HTML customizations, as a separate feature from News, to manage OPAC content.

In 22.05, two more system preferences were converted to news blocks: OpacMoreSearches and OPACMySummaryNote.
OpacMoreSearches and OpacMySummaryNote moved from system preferences to Tools > HTML customizations
Even more areas of the OPAC are now customizable without using HTML. Here is a summary of the areas of the OPAC that can be customized using the Word-like editor in HTML customizations.

This Koha 22.05 release continues to consolidate OPAC customization features by linking OPACUserJS and OPACUserCSS within the Tools > News/HTML customizations. These are still system preferences accessible via Global System Preferences search, but are also now visible within Tools > News/HTML customizations to users with the “parameters_manage_syspref” permissions.
