May Conference 2022 Wrap-Up!

ByWater Solutions, America’s forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, attended the Utah Library Association Conference from May 19-20 and the Florida Library Association Conference from May 23-25. At each conference, members of the ByWater Team answered questions, demonstrated products, and engaged in discussion regarding the future of Open Source solutions for Libraries.

We met so many of our amazing partners at both conferences, and got to see several of our partners receive awards at each conference!

We also had a presentation with one of our partners at the Florida Library Association Conference.

Presentations

At the Florida Library Association Conferene, Kal Marquise and Jessica Zairo of ByWater Solutions presented with Vicky Stever, Okaloosa County Public Library Cooperative, about Koha and Aspen Discovery.

Their session was titled The Dynamic Duo: Koha and Aspen Discovery, an Open Source Love Story and was presented as an online breakout session.

Awards

Several of our partners were awarded at both the Utah Library Association Conference and Florida Library Association Conference!

At the Utah Library Association Conference, Paula Mitchell, Special Collections Librarian and Associate Professor of Library Science at Southern Utah University, was awarded the Distinguished Service Award. Juan Tomás Lee Morales of the Wasatch County Library was awarded the Special Recognition Award. You can read more about both of their awards here.

At the Florida Library Association Conference, The Boynton Beach City Library won Library of the Year, and Eric Head of Citrus County Libraries was awarded Leader of the Year. You can read more about the FLA awards here.

FLA Fun Walk/Run

ByWater Solutions sponsored a Fun/Walk Run at the Florida Library Association Conference! This was a great way to bring our Florida partners and library staff across the state together. Over 30 people attended!
