King's College Library Goes Live on Koha with ByWater Support

ByWater completed the transition of the libraries' 214,000 plus holdings from Polaris ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library. The libraries' customized Koha OPAC can be viewed at https://kings.bywatersolutions.com/.

As a repeat customer with Bywater Koha – I was the Library Director at Marywood University when we selected Bywater and migrated - I knew that we would have a smooth and efficient transition from our previous platform. What I didn’t know was how well everything would go with all of our “in-person training” on Zoom (Thanks, Andrew, and everybody else!). Some particular things that Koha does much better than our previous product (placing holds, user account management, and notifications, just to name a couple) are especially important in providing services during the pandemic. And we’ll soon be adding the room reservation plugin for our group study rooms.
