See Us At the Next Gen Tech and Libraries Executive Panel

Nathan Curulla, CRO, was part of the Next Gen Tech and Libraries Executive Panel on Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The library technology industry has become highly consolidated via ongoing rounds of mergers and acquisitions. A smaller number of companies are now responsible for the strategic technology products upon which libraries depend. Marshall Breeding, of Library Technology Guides, begins the discussion by exploring some of the key trends that have played out recently, including new product trends and the impact that consolidation has had on the options available to libraries. He draws on data collected from a variety of sources. Following this introduction Breeding will facilitate a discussion with industry leaders, addressing a range of relevant topics, including how each organization has responded to the pandemic, and their ongoing development roadmaps. The panel will discuss other topics including how their technology products approach patron privacy, how systems can improve staff efficiency, and opportunities to strengthen engagement with library users through new discovery services, marketing automation services, analytics, and other timely technology products and services.
