ByWater Solutions Partners with koha-US to raise money for the Koha Community

ByWater Solutions, America’s forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced today that their partnership with koha-US raised over $1,800.00 for the Koha Community. 69 Community members participated in the month-long challenge logging over 2,140 miles for the month of May!

By partnering with koha-us for the Spring into Fitness: Koha Community Challenge, we were able to create a way for the open-source community to come together, move, and raise money for a good cause!

Brendan Gallagher, CEO of ByWater Solutions, recently commented on the Koha Community Challenge.

I'm excited that so many people joined the challenge and it was fun to see all the activities everyone did! Everyone should feel a great accomplishment both personally and for the Koha community. This amount of support will be excellent for continuing the educational goals for the Koha community.

Participants logged runs, walks, biking, dancing, yoga, strength training, and moreover the last month.

Rhonda Kuiper, President of koha-US and Collection Development & Technical Services Manager at Round Rock Public Library, recently commented on the event.

A heart-felt -- since we all have stronger hearts after a month of activity -- thank you to everyone that participated in the Koha Community Challenge. A special thank you to ByWater Solutions for the support they provided for this fundraiser!

koha-US and the Koha Community

The funds raised from the Community Challenge will allow koha-us to provide a platform for users to share educational workshops. koha-US members also work together to fund new software features in the Koha Community that help staff with their workflows or help patrons connect to library content.

Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork!

The Challenge was open to libraries, vendors, and any library supporters out there! The team challenge brought co-workers together allowing them to sign up as a team. We saw great motivation among the teams! We want to congratulate the Library and Vendor teams who competed!
