Over the past 5 years Ian has moved the FOLIO community forward while working with our partners to make them the happiest libraries using this new technology in the world. On top of this Ian has been instrumental in evolving our internal tooling as well as investigating options for the future while continuing work on Cerulean and other special projects. He has also been a lead in our roll out of Metabase and with helping our Coral partners by developing migration plans for the move over to Koha’s ERM. Since taking on the role of Head of Special Projects Ian has not hesitated to jump into the community and launch an easier implementation process for new libraries"

About Ian Walls

Ian earned his MLIS and MS in Computer Science from the University of Rhode Island in 2008. He joined ByWater Solutions in 2010, supporting hundreds of libraries, developed new features for Koha, and provided on-site training for several of the company's partners. After a few years working as the Web Services and Emerging Technologies Librarian at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Ian has returned to ByWater to lead the FOLIO Division and support partners on this exciting new open source Library Service Platform.
