ByWater Solutions Announces July 2024 Community Giveback Winner

Each month, ByWater Solutions selects one library to be awarded $500. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals.
We are excited to announce our July 2024 winner of the ByWater Community Giveback, the Woburn Public Library in Massachusetts! The library is a part of the Minuteman Library Network.
The funds will be used to support the purchase of a new iPad for the library.
Faizan Rashid, Head of Technology at the Woburn Public Library, commented:
The Woburn Public Library serves the community by providing access to information, technology, and educational programs for all residents. An iPad tablet purchase could potentially be funded through the library's budget for technological resources.
If the library were to acquire an iPad, it could be used to enhance digital services and programs. For instance, patrons could use the iPad to access ebooks and audiobooks, browse the internet, and use library apps. Library staff could also use the iPad to conduct public programs such as story times. Overall, the iPad could improve access to technology and educational resources within the community.
By providing a mobile and user-friendly device, the iPad could help the library better serve its patrons and meet their evolving needs."

The Woburn Public Library, founded in 1856, moved to its location on Pleasant Street in 1879. The first library designed by acclaimed architect H. H. Richardson, the building is a National Historic Landmark.

We will select one library a month to donate $500 to their Non-profit 501c3 organization such as Friends of the Library, Library Foundation, or other funding entity. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals. We LOVE libraries. Our team is made up of librarians and library fanatics.
