The event will be held virtually on February 8, 2024. Member Day is a virtual day of professional development, networking, and inspiration for library leaders, staff, and trustees of IHLS's member libraries.
About Member Day 2024
Member Day is Illinois Heartland Library System's biggest continuing education and networking event of the year! IHLS Member Day started as an annual day of member appreciation and has developed into a full one-day conference full of learning opportunities and Professional Development Hours. It has also been designed to provide a large-scale networking opportunity for all IHLS membership, both with system staff and with each other.
Libraries: the Heart of the Community
This year's logo and theme, Libraries, the Heart of the Community, features a line art-style village of houses, trees, and a library sitting on a foundation of an open book. This little community, with the library at its center, fills the foreground, with a large red heart behind it. A sprawling banner proclaims what we already know: that libraries are the heart of the community. This Member Day, we celebrate libraries as the community's beloved heartbeat.
