ByWater Solutions Announces August 2024 Community Giveback Winner

Each month, ByWater Solutions selects one library to be awarded $500. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals.

We are excited to announce our August 2024 winner of the ByWater Community Giveback, the Henry Carter Hull library in Connecticut!

The funds will be used to support the purchase of a new laptop for the library's Tech Guide.

Maribeth Breen, Library Director at the Henry Carter Hull Library, commented:

We have a part time Tech Guide to help community members with any tech issues they may have. The town has provided ARPA funds to pay the Tech Guide's salary but she is currently using an old, slow laptop that needs to be plugged in at all times. We would love to have a new laptop for Elizabeth to help our patrons - one that she would feel confident is up to the job."

The mission of The Henry Carter Hull Library is to provide an inviting and dynamic environment, where all members of our community may discover both information and inspiration.

About the ByWater Community Giveback

We will select one library a month to donate $500 to their Non-profit 501c3 organization such as Friends of the Library, Library Foundation, or other funding entity. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals. We LOVE libraries. Our team is made up of librarians and library fanatics. We're always looking for ways to give back and create opportunities where we can to support libraries. This is a small token of thanks for all the hard work libraries do in their communities every day.
