ByWater Solutions Announces May 2022 Community Giveback Winner

Each month, ByWater Solutions selects one library to be awarded $500. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals.

We are excited to announce our May 2022 winner of the ByWater Community Giveback, the Springfield Town Library in Springfield, Vermont.

The funds will be used toward the purchase of a very large screen television to be mounted in the children's room - which is the largest programming space in our library. Our current programming space is historical in nature, the oldest part of the building, so we cannot make any alterations to it. Plus, putting it in the children's room gives us more flexibility for programming for all ages. The shelves in that area are on casters, allowing us to reconfigure the space.

The impact/outcome of these funds would be to allow us to better provide programming to those who still are not comfortable coming into the library, as well as for others throughout the area. In Vermont, the weather can be challenging. This funding can increase access for all.

Established in 1871, Springfield Town Library settled into a permanent home in 1895. We will select one library a month to donate $500 to their Non-profit 501c3 organization such as Friends of the Library, Library Foundation, or other funding entity. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals. We LOVE libraries. Our team is made up of librarians and library fanatics.
