Aspen Discovery announced this week that the 23.10.00 release is now available.

23.10.00 Release Notes
Account Updates
- When updating home library, also update preferred pickup location if the home library does not allow preferred pickup location to be updated or remembered.
- When starting or stopping Masquerade, create a new session.
Administration Updates
- Add optional updates that can be run by administrators with Run Optional Updates permission. If optional updates are available, a message will be displayed to administrators with that permission.

API Updates
- In the Item API, getVariations will now also check the Library Systems for "Treat holds for formats that allow either bib or item holds as" setting.
- In the Item API, getCopies will no longer return non-holdable items.
CARL.X Updates
- Ignore spaces and hyphens within last names when validating patrons using barcode and last name.
eCommerce Updates
- ACI Speedpay is now a fully supported vendor.
Indexing Updates (from 23.09.10)
- Check if a title has MARC Holdings in the record and if it does, add a virtual item if no other copies exist on the record.
- Allow call numbers to have 2 different possible pre stamp fields.
- Remove unused option to suppress itemless bibs from both Indexing Profiles and Sideload settings.
Koha Updates
- Utilize new Rest API to validate patron accounts rather than ILSDI.
Library Systems Updates
- Added option to always display the number of renewals on a checkout.

Local Catalog Enrichment Updates
- Added the ability to display System Messages in Aspen LiDA.

Polaris Updates
- Allow libraries to disable the ability to cancel available holds.
- Allow libraries to disable the ability to change pickup location for available holds.

- Library Systems > ILS/Account Integration > Holds > Allow Changing Pickup Location For Available Holds
- Library Systems > ILS/Account Integration > Holds > Allow Cancelling Available Holds
Record Display Updates (from 23.09.10)
- Show Item URL with description when available
- Do not show "Where is it?" link if a title only has virtual items.
- Do not show the copies section within a record display if a title has no copies.
- If a library has no local MARC Holdings do not collapse other MARC Holdings automatically and remove the label.
Sierra Updates (from 23.09.10)
- Extract and display MARC Holdings from Sierra.
- Extract secondary call number prestamp field if configured.
- Extract item url and description from Sierra
- Allow patron usernames to be created and changed within Sierra.
Symphony Updates
- Give admin option to create custom self-registration forms (in-progress)

- Increase the length of locationOwnedScopes, libraryOwnedScopes, recordIncludedScopes
- Add checking if a library has no hours when generating the open hours message.
- Remove unused database cleanup for expired Sessions
- Add additional messaging
Aspen LiDA Updates
- Fixed an additional issue with Checkouts and Holds from being properly filtered.
- Fixed an issue where logging out and into a different account might hold onto previous session's card numbers for a couple of seconds.
- Scan and Go will now read Codabar barcodes.
- Patrons will now see applicable System Messages in the app.
