ByWater Solutions Announces New User Interface Customization Options and Enhancements with Our Aspen Discovery 22.10 Release

Libraries have even more options for customizing the look and feel of their catalog with the Aspen Discovery 22.10 release!

This month’s release includes multiple enhancements to the options libraries have for customizing the Aspen user interface. Aspen’s header and footer can now easily be extended to fill the full width of the browser window. Libraries also have the option to upload and format an image as the header background. We heard from many libraries that they loved the style of floating book covers that The Darien Library created when they launched earlier this year, and now that style of cover is an easy configuration option rather than custom CSS.

With the increasing popularity of user-generated lists and saved searches, several of our libraries requested that we make creating these more prominent. Aspen now includes the option to add Search Tools at the top of search results where users can find it easily.

These new UI options are not all that’s included in the 22.10 release. As always, our releases include many enhancements based on suggestions from our current Aspen partners. This month among the 75+ updates you’ll see improvements to how Aspen determines formats, how library holdings records are displayed, how 856 links to digital resources display, and many more.
