ByWater Solutions Announces Customized Push Notifications for the Aspen LiDA App with the LiDA 22.10 Release

In talking with our library partners about what they are looking for with push notifications in an app, we heard that it’s key for messages to be relevant to individual patrons. In most cases one size does not fit all. With customized push notifications in LiDA, libraries can craft and send messages to specific segments of patrons, allowing them to target their communication to those who will find it most helpful."

Libraries using the LiDA app can now create custom push notifications to target specific patron groups!

With the launch of customized push notifications for LiDA, libraries can craft messages on any topic and then link those messages to specific screens in the LiDA app or any external webpage. We even have emoji support!

These notifications can be crafted for individual patron segments, targeting specific patron types and/or library home locations. Messages can be scheduled to be sent at specific times and Aspen even provides a report to let you know if the message was sent and whether or not there were any errors.

We look forward to seeing all of the creative ways we know libraries will use these notifications to reach their patrons!

All libraries using Aspen Discovery have the option to offer LiDA to their patrons either through the shared LiDA app or a library-branded version of LiDA.
