ByWater Solutions announces the addition of LiDA app notifications with our Aspen 22.09 release

In 2022, patrons expect an app for their phones and part of the app experience is push notifications. We’ve been talking with our library partners on how notifications should work for libraries and we’re thrilled to launch the first iteration of push notifications with the 22.09 release of Aspen and LiDA."

For this month’s Aspen release we’re excited to offer push notifications for the LiDA app! Building on last month’s release of the “New” badge functionality, patrons using the LiDA app can now get push notifications whenever a new title is added to a saved search. We’ve also made set up and configuration of LiDA easier for Aspen Administrators by consolidating those settings into one place.

Every day we receive new ideas and suggestions for Aspen, so for the 22.09 release we tackled many requests from our partner libraries! Examples of these features include the ability to hide individual subjects from the subject facet, the option to sort editions that have at least one copy owned by the active library before all other editions, support for the VDX ILL platform, and dozens more.
