Koha Question of the Week: What are Patron Hold Notes?

Question: What are Patron Hold Notes?

Answer: A system preference, OpacHoldNotes, if turned on will allow a patron to place a note on the item they are placing on hold.

This Hold Note will be visible to the staff from the Hold Page of the Record. This "Hold Note" can also be printed up on the slip, if necessary.

Staff can also place notes on Hold Items during the hold process, this note can be extremely helpful for various reasons during the hold process.
