ByWater Solutions Welcomes Enica Davis as Data Migrations Lead

ByWater Solutions, an open-source community contributor and America’s forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced today that Enica Davis has joined ByWater Solutions as a Data Migrations Lead for Koha ILS.

Enica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Management, and now, as part of the Migrations team at ByWater, she gets to work with three of the things she is most passionate about data, technology, and libraries.

Enica was born and raised in the Philippines, where public libraries are not well-known. Twelve years after moving to the U.S., she was able to fulfill a dream of working as an Emerging Technologies Librarian. She lives in Maine with her husband, who also works as a librarian, and their chocolate lab, Princess (the LABrarian). For fun, she loves to read, take photos, draw, and paint, and watch old movies. She enjoys reading a wide variety of books—from mysteries to science fiction to all varieties of non-fiction; although her inclination always leans towards the broad umbrella of literary fiction. She enjoys authors like Maya Angelou, Octavia Butler, Mary Oliver, Toni Morrison, Han Kang, Carlos Bulosan, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, and Kazuo Ishiguro (to name a few).

Joy Nelson, President Koha Division recently commented on Enica joining the ByWater team.

Enica brings a passion and drive to serve library communities through the use of technology. Her years of experience in both academic and public library settings will be the perfect complement to our Koha Implementation Team.
