Wilderness Coast Public Libraries Goes Live on Koha with ByWater Solutions

ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.’ forefront provider of Koha (www.koha-community.org) support, announced today that the Wilderness Coast Public Libraries is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system.

The Wilderness Coast Public Libraries is made up of 4 libraries and houses approximately 100,000 items and their customized catalog can be viewed at: http://catalog.wildernesscoast.org/

Pat Gilleland, Administrator for the Wilderness Coast Public Libraries, commented on their decision to migrate to Koha with ByWater Solutions:

“Wilderness Coast Public Libraries went live with Koha on February 27, 2012 and is not looking back! Although the original rationale for migrating to Koha was financial, we have nothing but good things to say as well about the quality, flexibility, and ease of use of our new Koha ILS. Bywater Solutions has done an outstanding job of guiding us through the migration process, and in doing so has helped Wilderness Coast continue to increase coordination and cooperation between our member libraries.”

About the Wilderness Coast Public Libraries:

The Wilderness Coast Public Libraries (WILD) system was established in October, 1992, as an administrative office for the cooperative multi-county library system for Wakulla, Jefferson, and Franklin counties. The system serves over 58,105 residents with a combined collection of approximately 100,000 items in its four libraries. The library administrative office has the responsibility for the library automation system. WILD is governed by a board consisting of two members from each participating county. The library directors and central administrator constitute the Directors’ Council. The WILD Administrative Office is located in Monticello, Florida in Jefferson County.
