ByWater Solutions Welcomes Amy Kearns as Support Specialist

ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.’ forefront provider of Koha support, is happy to welcome Amy Kearns as the newest Koha Support Specialist. Amy will join the ByWater team assisting partners with their Koha Open Source ILS.

Amy has an MLIS from Rutgers with a BA in Philosophy, and has over ten years experience working in libraries in New Jersey. She has taught at the graduate level, online and in person, and has provided training to both library staff and the public on various technology-related topics. She is a baseball FANatic and enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time with her husband and two-year-old daughter.

Amy commented on her recent decision to join ByWater Solutions:

“I’m extremely excited to be joining ByWater! Having previously worked in a public library where Koha is used, as well as in places where it is not, I am happy to support Koha because of the freedom and control it provides libraries over their ILS. I am looking forward to supporting library staff to better perform their work and serve their customers.”

Jesse Maseto, Head of Support, commented:

“We are very excited that Amy has joined ByWater. Her cheerful attitude and knowledge of Koha will make Amy an excellent addition to our support team.”
