Staff Spotlight: Sara Brown

Each month, we highlight one of our talented team members. This month, our Staff Spotlight will focus on Sara Brown, Educator at ByWater Solutions.

Who is Sara?

Sara originally started with ByWater in 2021, and after working with us for two years took a brief sabbatical and came back to us in 2024! Sara is a talented Educator, with a strong focus on ensuring our partner’s needs are being met. She has an impressive attention to detail and has the ability to truly understand the issues at hand so they can be resolved more quickly for our partners.

Sara received her MLS from the University at Buffalo and her BA from Goucher College. As a public librarian for the past five years, she spent many hours focused on digital equity, privacy, and access to information. Her favorite parts of the job were teaching technology classes, privacy advocacy and training for colleagues and patrons, and the chance to meet and learn from so many smart and talented people. Outside of work, she spends time with friends and family, explores on foot or bike, and weaves.
