Southern Vermont College Chooses ByWater Solutions’ Koha Support

ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America’s forefront provider of Koha support, announced today that the Southern Vermont College Library in Bennington, VT is now live with their installation of the Koha open source ILS.

ByWater Solutions has completed the migration of the Southern Vermont College Library’s 20,000 items and 1,500 patrons and will be providing ongoing hosting and Koha Support services for them. Their custom mobile-friendly OPAC can be viewed at http://libcat.svc.edu/.

Sarah K. Sanfilippo, Director of Library Resources shared her decision to switch to Koha:

“Our switch to Koha was a no-brainer. We got glowing reviews of ByWater from our peer institutions in Vermont. We are saving money, the conversion was relatively quick and painless, and we are happy to have done it! Koha’s functionality and flexibility is wonderful, and we love that we can have a voice in how it evolves: that was just not possible with our previous vendor. As a very small college without dedicated tech staff in the library, we love the responsiveness of ByWater’s team. We look forward to what the future brings!”
