Norwalk Public Library's Annual Run Between the Libraries Family 5K Run/ Walk

It was a beautiful Sunday morning at the Norwalk Public Library in Norwalk CT. As they are a library local to our East Coast Offices, we wanted to sponsor a couple of runners for the event. Luckily it was my wife and her sister who agreed to do the running instead of me. Hey somebody had to take the pictures! I was very impressed with the turnout at the library for this event as people of all ages lined up to register for the 3.1 miles of excitement that was in store for them.

Runners sponsored by ByWater SolutionsEveryone from the serious runner ( I think I saw one guy run the course twice before the race even started) to the brisk walker was in attendance, and they even had a “Kid’s Fun Run” before the race, which is always a riot because of the real little ones who are less than enthusiastic about leaving their parents to run in a pack of other children. This lack of enthusiasm results in what resembles mini zombies bobbing down the path with their arms extended forward while emanating a low pitched wail. Priceless.

After a greeting from the Mayor of Norwalk the racers set out. During this time I was able to explore the beautiful Norwalk Public Library’ interior and the ample refreshments and treats that awaited the runners after their race. About halfway through the pack of runners the ByWater runners triumphantly crossed the finish line to deafening cheers and flashbulbs from my camera. It was a great time and a great event and we look forward to running it again next year! Many thanks to the staff and volunteers from the Norwalk Public Library for setting this event up.
