ByWater Solutions Welcomes Melissa Lefebvre as Operations Manager
ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and the U.S.’ forefront provider of Koha support, is happy to welcome Melissa Lefebvre as its new Operations Manager. Melissa will be working as a project and communications manager for ByWater and will facilitate communication and operations for the migration and development departments, as well as contribute to the everyday support of ByWater’s seven hundred-plus library customers.
Melissa received her MLS from Southern Connecticut State University, and her BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has worked on Evergreen, another open source ILS system, for four years as Project Manager at Bibliomation, Inc., a large public and school consortium in Connecticut. Melissa plans on using her skills to contribute code to the Koha community whenever possible. In her spare time she enjoys taking architectural photographs, reading, and spending time with her family.
Melissa commented on her recent decision to join ByWater Solutions:
“I am very excited to be joining the ByWater team. Over the past four years, I have been working specifically with open source systems and libraries. For me, open source puts the control into the librarians hands. They have a direct impact on the direction and functionality of the system, and I am honored to be helping libraries achieve their goals through Koha, and ByWater.”
Brendan Gallagher, CEO of ByWater commented on Melissa’s move to ByWater:
“We are overjoyed to have Melissa as part of the ByWater team. I have had the pleasure of working with Melissa in the past and know that she is the perfect fit for the crucial role of Operations Manager for ByWater. We are excited for our partners to get to know Melissa and look forward to a long and productive relationship with her.”
