kohacon24: A Week of Learning and Building with the Community

Every year the Koha Community gathers in person for KohaCon. kohacon24 was held from September 23-27 in Montreal, Canada.

Nick Clemens, Head of Koha Development, commented:

KohaCon24 was a wonderful experience. The presentations were all engaging, and I learned a lot about what others are doing with Koha. The hackfest days were energizing and we were able to move forward on setting up the Koha foundation. Additionally, it is always exciting to meet, or see again, community members from around the world and get to know in person the names we see online."

Valerie Burnett, Data Migration Librarian, said,

My week at KohaCon 2024 in Montreal was extraordinary for so many reasons. Hearing presenters from across the global community really broadened my view of Koha and expanded my understanding of how it is used and supported around the world. Meeting a wide variety of Koha users and supporters forged new connections and set the groundwork for future learning and collaboration. Between the presentations, the sessions, and the socializing, I learned so much and acquired so much inspiration. It was a bonus to get to experience the atmosphere, food, language, and culture of Quebec."
