Fox Chase Cancer Centers’s Talbot Research Library Goes Live on Koha with ByWater Solutions

ByWater Solutions, an open source community supporter and official Koha support company, announced today that Fox Chase Cancer Center’s Talbot Research Library is now live on their installation of the Koha integrated library system.

The Library’s Koha installation went live in August, and ByWater Solutions will be providing ongoing support and hosting services for them.

Beth Lewis, Director of Library Services, commented on their decision to switch to Koha with ByWater:

“I wanted to upgrade our catalog to a more modern look and feel and also cut our maintenance costs. We also liked the idea of using an open source product and perhaps contributing to its development.Since we have a small staff, ByWater’s service of migration, customization, and hosting our catalog really fit our needs perfectly. Everyone at ByWater has been wonderful to work with.”

Brendan Gallagher, CEO of ByWater stated: “Beth and the staff at the Talbot Library have been a real joy to work with. The enthusiasm and excitement they have shown for Koha makes us love what we do all the more. We look forward to a long and productive relationship together!”
