February 2019 Librarian of the Month

Each month, ByWater recognizes a librarian for their hard work and positive impact on the community. Valerie Burnett is the February 2019 Librarian of the Month. She is the Systems Librarian at the Giovale Library at Westminster College.

Valerie was nominated by Emily Swanson for Librarian of the month! Emily sent the ByWater team the following message about Valerie:

Valerie is our catalog and database guru! She worked with ByWater on our transition to Koha which was very smooth. She also handles all of the upgrades and any troubleshooting. I admire Valerie because by and large she is self-taught. She is eager to learn new things and she is not afraid to ask for help. Valerie has kept all of our systems running smoothly and I appreciate all the work she has done.

Valerie is the Systems Librarian at the Giovale Library at Westminster College. Valerie oversaw the migration to Koha and developed their own Koha server in-advance of the migration through professional consultants.
