Celebrating 10 years as ByWater Solutions

ByWater Solutions Celebrates 10 years

10 years ago, we incorporated ByWater Solutions and officially started the company. We are so grateful to have worked with so many partners, friends and Koha Community Members over the years.

Nate Curulla, CRO of ByWater solutions recently commented:

Over the past ten years we have grown to support over 1,500 libraries of all shapes and sizes, from small special libraries to large multi-site consortiums and ARL Academic libraries. Our strong emphasis on service and support has in many ways re-shaped the library technology market and has resulted in a stronger emphasis on LSP support across the board. We look forward to working with more and more libraries as open source technologies become the norm in the library world going forward.

Happy 10th Anniversary! We went live in October of 2010. The day we went live ByWater had four employees three of whom were in New Zealand at Kohacon. Ten minutes before we opened the door that first day we realized that our barcodes didn't work. I called Brendan and he had the problem fixed before I unlocked the door. Congratulations and thank you for doing what you all do. As a librarian at a small liberal arts college--one the many without a nine or ten digit endowment--I'm super thankful for you all for providing an affordable system that allows our library to put more money into content. I continue to be a fan of open source solutions like Koha, but a small team of three librarians like ours could never make something like this work on our own.
