ByWater Solutions at ALA Midwinter

Once again, we had another great conference at ALA MidWinter in Seattle! It is always such a pleasure to meet new librarians who are interested and excited in open source! I was thrilled to find that the majority of people we spoke with were already familiar with Koha, open source, and ByWater Solutions! One of our customers even commented on how nice it was to come to the exhibit hall looking for us to say hello and let us know that we are doing a great job, rather than to yell at us for something that was broken and not yet fixed. Many people would just walk by and yell “keep doing what you are doing!” or “Go open source! Great job guys!”. Experiences like those really make me happy because I can see that we are making a difference.

It is also always a great pleasure to see our existing customers and have the opportunity to share some good times with them. The personalrelationshipswe develop make this job better than any I have had, and having the chance to share some good times and great conversation with the people we partner with is by far the highlight of every conference we attend. Thanks to those who took the time to see us, especially those we have met in person for the first time!
