ByWater Solutions Announces December 2021 Community Giveback Winner

Each month, ByWater Solutions selects one library to be awarded $500. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals.

We are excited to announce our December 2021 winner of the ByWater Community Giveback, Hoisington Public Library in Hoisington, Kansas.

The services the Hoisington Public Library provides for their community are vital. They have a service area with a high percentage of low income households in rural western Kansas. They serve a variety of patrons and have a community made up of farmers, plant operators, hospital workers, and many that commute into nearby Great Bend for work.

The library intends to use the funds from the ByWater Community Giveback to focus on the youngest library patrons who do not have access to computers or internet at home. Or, that enjoy coming to the library for entertainment and use of the computers for gaming and homework. The children's computers at the library have not been updated in seven years and the hard drives and Ram are causing issues with freezing up and slowness. It is time to replace and update these computers to better serve the needs of Hoisington's youth.

ByWater Solutions is happy to contribute to such a great cause and help get these computers replaced!

About Hoisington Public Library

The mission of the Hoisington Public Library is to provide resources, services, programs, materials, media and information to meet the informational, educational and recreational needs and interests of the people of the community. The staff strives to give people what they want when they come to the Library. The Library cooperates with other institutions to provide services not available in our facility and maintains an open door for reciprocal and inter-library activities.

About the ByWater Community Giveback

We will select one library a month to donate $500 to their Non-profit 501c3 organization such as Friends of the Library, Library Foundation, or other funding entity. These funds are meant to support libraries and their communities and fill gaps in funding to further library goals. We LOVE libraries. Our team is made up of librarians and library fanatics. We're always looking for ways to give back and create opportunities where we can to support libraries. This is a small token of thanks for all the hard work libraries do in their communities every day.
