Fourteen ByWater Partner Libraries Bring Features to Koha 3.18
ByWater Solutions, an open source community contributor and America’s forefront provider of Koha support, has upgraded their partner library systems to Koha 3.18! Koha 3.18 includes 14 new features, 120 enhancements and 487 fixes. Fourteen of ByWater’s Koha partner libraries sponsored developments in this release.
ByWater and the Koha community thank the following libraries for their contributions to Koha 3.18:
- Acquisition Fund Rollover sponsored by Coeur d’Alene Public Library, DoverNet, Huntsville Public Library, Washington University in St. Louis, and Washoe County Library System
- Update Not For Loan Status for holds on new items sponsored by American Falls District Library
- Patron placed hold system preference sponsored by VOKAL
- System preference for “My Privacy” default setting sponsored by Roseville Public Library
- Speed up checkout via Ajax sponsored by American Falls District Library, North Central Regional Library, Northeast Kansas Library System, Roseville Public Library, Southeast Kansas Library System, and Washoe County Library System (Officially pushed into 3.18 but backported to 3.16.4)
- Successful Renewal Message sponsored by Arcadia Public Library
- Ability to customize SIP2 screen message sponsored by Carnegie-Stout Public Library
- Splitting HomeOrHoldBranch system preference sponsored by Southeast Kansas Library System
- Allow renewal if hold is waiting sponsored by Roseville Public Library
- Give precedence to local holds sponsored by Plum Creek Library System
In addition to the partner sponsored developments, Koha 3.18 includes:
- An option to upload scanned invoices
- A Rotating Collections tool
- A way to track who has on-site checkouts
- Automatic renewals
- A search form for items
- The ability to configure what columns show in tables
- A view to staged MARC records that shows the difference between records
- A batch record deletion tool
- A way to optionally report usage statistics to Koha community (HEA)
