April 2024 Librarian of the Month

Every month ByWater Solutions recognizes a librarian that has made an impact on their library and community. We are happy to announce the April 2024 Librarian of the Month is Andrew Fuerste-Henry of the Dubuque County Library District in Iowa. Andrew was nominated by Donna Bachowski, Director of Implementations at ByWater Solutions.

Donna commented:

Andrew is an active member of the Koha community, being currently number 5 in the world for bug signoffs in 2024, and served as release maintainer for two releases. They are also active within Koha US and the ByWater community. Andrew is currently Vice President of Koha US, presented at the Iowa ByWater summit, and is an invaluable partner in the ByWater partners Slack channels. They freely and generously share their knowledge, about Koha and about library operations, and are always ready to supply a report to a partner in need, or guide a new partner about using item types, or the best yet, share amazing recipes! Andrew is always a delight to work with, and we are lucky to have them in our community!"
