April 2023 Librarian of the Month

Every month ByWater Solutions recognizes a librarian that has made an impact on their library and community. We are happy to announce the April Librarian of the Month is Dawn Wilbert of the of Decatur Public Library in Texas.

Dawn was nominated by Chrissie Adams, Technical Services Manager at Decatur Public Library, who commented:

We have a small library in the middle of a big rural community and she hit the ground running when she became director a few short years ago. She is a strong advocate for the library in this community where the supports are not always as readily available right away. She is constantly seeking out ways to improve the library including advocating for renovations to benefit everyone. Most importantly she encourages team building and communication between colleagues and I can honestly say, having been here for several years and several transitions, this is one of the best work environments I have been in."
