American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Announces 2021 Awards

We wanted to extend a congratulations to all those that were nominated for or won 2021 American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) Awards. We also wanted to acknowledge our partner libraries and invite everyone to a special virtual law library event we are hosting on July 19!

Congratulations to San Diego Law Library for winning the Excellence in Community Engagement Award

According to AALL, the Excellence in Community Engagement Award honors outstanding achievement in public relations activities by an AALL member, special interest section, chapter, library, or any other group affiliated with the Association. Community engagement is a critical responsibility of every member of the library profession. It is important to recognize and acknowledge outstanding contributions achieved by the Association’s members in raising the visibility of the profession and its Association.

San Diego Law Library was one of the winners for Preparing Our Community for COVID-19 Legal Issues.

According to AALL, The Bethany J. Ochal Award honors members who have made significant contributions to law librarianship and are nearing the end of their library careers or have recently retired.

AALL Champion Acknowledgment

AALL Champions are ambassadors to the legal information profession and to AALL. One of our partners from University of North Texas- Dallas, Edward T. Hart, Assistant Dean College of Law, was named as a AALL Champion.
