American Library Association Conference 2023 Wrap-Up!

ByWater Solutions, America’s forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, attended the 2023 American Library Association (ALA) Conference in Chicago, Illinois. We were thrilled to see so many of our partners, library colleagues, and fellow vendors in attendance!

Many of our partners gave presentations at the conference, and some presented at our Tech Talk panel.

We also hosted our first ever ALA Open Source Software Success for Libraries Preconference event with SWAN Library Services.

Many partners and fellow professionals attended our Annual Party at Fatpour Tapworks.

We were also able to record a special Four Year Anniversary episode of Monday Minutes at our Booth.

Open Opportunities: Moving to an Open Source Solution Panel

Jessica Zairo, Director of Library Sales and Marketing at ByWater Solutions, moderated the Open Opportunities: Moving to an Open Source Solution panel which was held on the Tech Talk stage in the conference exhibit hall. We had guests from four different partner libraries discuss their transition to open source and experience with the implementation process.

Open Source Software Success for Libraries ALA Preconference

In collaboration with SWAN Library Services, we hosted our first ever Open Source Software Success for Libraries ALA Preconference.

The preconference featured 6 different presentations, including a panel discussion, on topics related to Open Source Success in libraries and allowed plenty of time for community discussion as well.

We hosted our Annual Party at Fatpour Tap Works McCormick, and many friends, partners, and fellow vendors came out to celebrate a successful conference!

Monday Minutes

We were able to record a special ALA edition of Monday Minutes at our Booth, and we also celebrated Monday Minutes' Four Year Anniversary!
