Koha How-To

Monday Minutes: Creating a Bugzilla Account

Create An Account in Bugzilla

Bugzilla is a way for users to track any changes, enhancements, critical fixes or bugs that exist in Koha. Anyone can create an account. To create a Bugzilla account, all you need to do is enter an email address.

Navigate to Bugzilla – Create a new Bugzilla account.

After you register, you will receive an email at the address to confirm the new account. You will not be able to log in until you confirm the email in your inbox.

A user account will allow you to report new bugs or to comment into existing ones. Below we will walk you through some actions you now perform with an account.

Fields You See on a Bug

This page describes the various fields that you see on a bug including, statuses, assignees, versions and components.

Voting for a Bug

Bugzilla has a "voting" feature. Each product allows users to have a certain number of votes. (Some products may not allow any, which means you can't vote on things in those products at all.) With your vote, you indicate which bugs you think are the most important and would like to see fixed. Note that voting is nowhere near as effective as providing a fix yourself.
