Question: Why Does the "Last Patron" Button Look Different?
Answer: In the recent upgrade to 24.05, some of our eagle-eyed partners noticed that the Last Patron button, enabled by the showLastPatron system preference, changed appearances slightly from a button to a text link with an arrow dropdown.
That change was due in part to a new system preference in 23.11, showLastPatronCount, which now allows libraries to choose how many (up to ten) patrons to display in that menu instead of just the last patron. This feature is great for libraries with busy public service desks.
