Koha How-To
Koha Question of the Week: How Do I Suggest A Development for the Crowdfunding Page?
How Do I Suggest A Development for the Crowdfunding Page?
Answer: There are a few different paths for a development ending up on the crowdfunding page, but the main one is suggestions from our partners.
If there's something that you would like to see developed in Koha, but you know your library won't be able to pay for the entire development yourself, you can put in a development request and let us know that you'd like it to go onto the crowdfunding site once we have a quote for you.
How do I request a development?
It's as easy as putting in a ticket at ticket.bywatersolutions.com.
The more information you can give us the batter. This may be Koha Bugs, user stories of how you'd like to see a new feature function, or a detailed explanation of what changes you want. If we need more information, we'll reach out.
Please put in one ticket for each development request.
How does it go from a ticket to the Crowdfunding page?
Once we have the information we need, we take it to our regular development review meeting where we discuss the development and if there's anything we've missed.
After that, you'll get a quote or a quote range depending on the development. If you got a range, we ask if you're interested in perusing it further if you didn't specifically ask for it to go on the crowdfunding site.
Once the development is posted on the crowdfunding site, we share the link with you.
