Koha 23.05: Proper Redirect to Previous OPAC Location Following Login Modal Popup

Occasionally, when browsing the OPAC, a patron may not have logged into their account and will be prompted to do so before taking any kind of account action like placing a hold or adding a comment to the OPAC details page. In previous versions of Koha, following the login through the login modal, the user would be redirected to their OPAC user page, thus losing the context of their action prior to login. In the 23.05 Koha release, an enhancement via bug 31699 will add a generic way to redirect the patron back to where they were prior to being prompted to login. This bug was sponsored by The European Southern Observatory.

In the same vein, ByWater partner PTFS Europe sponsored bug 32125, leading to another OPAC enhancement which ensures patrons are returned to the correct bibliographic record details page after a login that was prompted when attempting to comment on a bibliographic record. Saving patrons unnecessary clicks is always a win!
