New Features

[11844] - Additional fields for order lines

There is now an option to add additional fields to order lines. Do this by going to Acquisitions home, scroll to the bottom of the left menu, and click on “Manage order line fields.”

These fields can either pull information into the order line from the MARC record or allow you to save information to a field in the MARC record as you create the order line. The fields can either be free text or use authorized values.

After creating the new fields, open an order and add an order line. The new fields will be at the bottom of the page.

Information from fields to get from the MARC record will be retrieved and display in the order line. When order is saved, you will see the information added in the save to MARC fields in the record.

Enhancements

[29935] - Add option to search in archived suggestions to all search tabs

Before this enhancement, it was only possible to find archived suggestions when searching for information in the archived suggestions. Now it is possible to include archived suggestions in any list of suggestion search results.

Navigate to Acquisitions > Suggestions. At the top of the left-hand navigation column there is a “Filter By” box with options to search by bibliographic, suggestion, or acquisition information. There is now a check box below these options for “Include archived.” Select this box, and then search using the appropriate facet.

To see all suggestions including archived, click “Include archived” and enter a blank search. A second option is to look at the “Organize by” box in the top left. Leave the dropdown set to “Status” and click “Go” to show all suggestions including archived.

Note: This does not apply to the search fields at the top of each tab on the suggestions table.

[32452] - Link basket group name from basket summary page

This enhancement makes the basket group name a link rather than a static name.

[33098] - Revert suggestion status to ‘Accepted’ when orders made from a suggestion are canceled

When adding to a basket from an accepted suggestion, the status of the suggestion changes from Accepted to Ordered.

If the order is then canceled,

the suggestion status now reverts to Accepted, rather than remaining Ordered.

No system preferences need to be adjusted to enable this feature. However, if the intent was to cancel the order and delete the suggestion, you will have to go back to suggestions and manually delete it.

[33541] - Show ‘Document type’ in list of suggestions when creating an order from a suggestion

The main table view of Accepted suggestions shows the format requested (Document type), but prior to this enhancement, you couldn’t see that when adding to an order from an Accepted suggestion.

Now, you will see the format requested which will help with ordering the right material type and also for picking the correct item type.
