Koha 22.11: New Features and Options in the Circulation Module

Return Claims from the Circulation Overdues page

This enhancement (bug 29983) allows library staff to initiate a return claim directly from the overdues list in the Circulation module:

After selecting your overdue item filters, you’ll see a new column in the Overdues table: “Return claims.” Staff can initiate a return claim from here, rather than clicking through to the patron’s record.

Ability to view item renewal history

If your library has the IntranetReadingHistory system preference enabled, this enhancement (bug 23838) allows staff to view the details of an item’s renewal(s) from the patron’s Circulation History tab.

New Options for DisplayClearScreenButton

[29129] - The system preference DisplayClearScreenButton contains some new options in 22.11. In 22.05, staff could only choose Show or Don’t Show. DisplayClearScreenButton now allows staff to configure the print icon to either print all checkouts (ISSUESLIP) or today’s checkouts (ISSUEQSLIP) before clearing the screen.

Please note: your library may have some custom JavaScript in the system preference intranetuserjs that may interfere with the function of this setting. If you set DisplayClearScreenButton and don’t see a change in behavior, send us a support ticket.

Selecting “Show print quick slip and clear screen buttons” configures the print button to print ISSUEQSLIP from the patron’s checkout screen.
