Out of the box, Aspen provides 42 options for facets (so we think that means our facets are the answer to life, the universe, and everything). Each library gets to choose the facets that they think will provide the best experience for their users. In the 23.08 release, we've introduced the ability to define custom facets -- so the possibilities are now truly endless!

For any resources you'd like searchable within Aspen Discovery, you can add the records directly into Aspen as a side load. If a vendor can provide you with MARC records, you can side load them! In this video, we walk you through the process of creating a new side load, adding files, ongoing side load maintenance, and troubleshooting tips. Once you have the process down, you can add as many side loads as you like!
