Monday Minutes: Email Library When Patron Self Registers
In this week's Monday Minutes, Kelly and Jessie show off the new feature that will email the library when a patron self-registers. This feature is coming in 22.11.
System Preferences
There are two new system preferences that will allow libraries to identify what email will be used for this new feature.
EmailPatronRegistrations
EmailAddressforPatronRegistrations
A library can opt into this feature by indicating that they would like an email when a patron registers. The choices for what email for Koha to use are:
Email Address of the Library
Email Address for Patron Registration
Koha Admin Email Address
Email Address of the Library: If a library chooses this option, Koha will use the email of the library from the Library set up in Admin.
Koha Admin Email Address: If a library chooses this option, Koha will use the email address that is in the system preference, KohaAdminEmailAddress.
Or the library could use an entirely different email address for this feature, if so, they would enter that email address in the system preference, EmailAddressforPatronRegistration.
New Notice
Koha has added a new notice with this feature which will be the notice that is sent to the email listed in the above system preference.
This new notice is called, OPAC_REG, New OPAC self-registration submitted. As with all notices, Koha will allow libraries to customize this notice to fit the needs of the library.
