Saint Vincent College Goes Live on FOLIO with ByWater Solutions Support

ByWater Solutions, America’s forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced that Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania is now live on FOLIO!

ByWater completed the transition of the library's 195,000 plus records from Millennium this winter and is providing ongoing support services to the library. As part of their partnership with ByWater, EBSCO Information Services will be providing hosting services along with complimentary products to ensure a complete and well managed FOLIO instance.

Ian Walls, FOLIO Implementation Lead, recently commented on the migration.

We're excited about bringing Saint Vincent College up as one of the first libraries in the world on FOLIO. They have been a pleasure to work with throughout this implementation, and have brought fun new challenges to solve that will help to push the capabilities of FOLIO as it grows.

About Saint Vincent College and the Dale P. Latimer Library

With more than 1,500 students, Saint Vincent College offers the personal attention and educational tools to integrate your intellectual aptitudes with your professional goals. Student life at Saint Vincent College is enriched by the unique programs, activities and opportunities that collectively shape the educational journey of those who live and learn here.

Dale P. Latimer Library

The original Saint Vincent Library collection began with 100 books which founder Boniface Wimmer brought with him from Germany in 1846. Through the leadership of the late Father Fintan Shoniker, O.S.B. and of Father Chrysostom Schlimm, O.S.B., the Library has grown into a collection that includes nearly 250,000 books and periodicals, 99,000 microforms such as microfilm, microfiche and cards, and 3,000 musical scores. The collection also has more than 100 rare books dating to the 15th Century, including a copy of The Canterbury Tales, produced in 1478 by the first printer in England, William Caxton.
