KohaCon12 Hackfest , Day 2

Day two of the KohaCon12 Hackfest featured a continuation of the rapid signing, qa’ing and recovering of patches that began on day one.

In addition, the day featured a discussion of the state of Koha’s SIP server. There are plans to improve Koha’s existing SIP2 servers, as well as plans to write a completely new SIP server for the upcoming SIP3 protocol.

The days end featured a second discussion about the state of Koha’s internal code structure, and the future of the new Koha namespace, where future developments will take place. The discussion outlined a plan to bring improvements that will allow for more rapid development of new features and limit possible problems.
