In a couple of days I will be teaching an all day workshop for SWFLN on Practical Open Source Software for Libraries. This workshop will cover what open source is, how important community is to the development of open source and list 60 open source applications that libraries are and can use.

The information is as follows:

Date: 1/21/2010
Start Time: 9:15 AM
Location: South County Regional Library – Lee County, Florida
Register Online
Registration Ends: 1/19/2010 at 12:00 PM

I’m sorry for the short notice on this one – I have to admit I thought I was teaching something else this week which is why I didn’t announce it to you all sooner – next time I’ll be more proactive!!

I hope to see some of you there!
